Mission Amarillo’s new website!

The launch of this website represents a new way we will be communicating with our supporters and interacting with the schools and agencies that refer people to our programs. When you access our site, you’ll be able to find out what’s going on at Mission Amarillo, register for one of our programs, volunteer, and help collect shoes, all by going to www.missionamarillo.org. Rather than using our social media platforms to communicate with everyone, we will be using those platforms to connect with our website. Even our email newsletter will be connecting to information at our website.

There are two reasons for this change.

• First, social media usage surges and wanes, typically along with the latest issue that is a reflection of the cultural strife in our country. While we want to be a light in a dark place, we also know that this has driven many from using social media. This site will be a way we can reconnect with those people.
• Second, we want you to see how all the programs God has established at Mission Amarillo work together to love and equip those in our community who are far less fortunate than others. When a school or agency visits our site to order shoes, they will have the opportunity to see all that we do to love our neighbor and equip them for life!

So, if you would like to keep up with all that happens at Mission Amarillo, you can continue to follow us on social media (we will continue to link all blog posts there) or if you’d rather avoid social media, you can register your email address at the bottom of our blog page, to be alerted when a new blog is posted. These blogs will go more in depth into the stories of those we serve, the problems they face, and how our programs help them move forward in a way that honors their God given dignity and communicates that God has not forgotten them but loves them and has a plan for them.

Last of all, we would like to thank the guys at Sweven Design for doing an outstanding job on our website. They worked tirelessly to get our site launched, listened to our hopes and expectations, and delivered a website that is everything we hoped it would be.
