August is a busy month at Mission Amarillo. We work hard to give away an average of 300 pairs of shoes to those in need, and to enroll new mothers in our Be-Loved program. We also launch our 365 Dad class, which provides education to fathers about how to be successful parents. We also have the ParentChild+ program which helps to educate home visitors who are helping to support parents and children in difficult situations. Our ministries have different focuses, but the core purpose is always the same- we are here to love and equip our neighbors for life. We are filled with joy to have the opportunity to do this work every day!
365 Dad is currently enrolling new dads for our fall class. If you know of a dad 35 or younger who could use the support of our 365 Dad class, please send him to the link below to register. We hope to start a new class at the end of August.
We also will be taking registration for ParentChild+ through September. If you know of a child ages 2-4 who may need help getting ready for school, have their parents register them at the link below!
We couldn't do this without the generous support of our community. Each pair of shoes given away, each box of diapers or wipes given to a teen mom, each dad trained, and each child visited are a result of the generosity of the people in our community.
